How To Remove Bloat Apps On Android

In the app store for Android devices, better known as the Play Store, we can download any app we want. There are free and paid apps, there are productivity applications, music players, themes, keyboards, games, and more. It’s awesome that we get to choose the apps we want, but what about pre-loaded applications?

When you buy a shiny new Android smartphone or tablet, you’ll notice there are many apps already installed. You may find some of them useful and interesting, but there are also the apps you will never use. Many people keep asking how to remove bloat apps on Android. The only way to delete the bloatware is by rooting your Android. If you ever looked for the app in the Play Store designed to remove the bloat apps, you probably saw “Root required”. Many people don’t want to root their device, in which case you can disable these apps. We are going to show you how to do just that.

How to Remove Bloat Apps on Android

As we mentioned, you can’t delete these apps, but you can disable them, which is a pretty simple thing to do. However, there are many pre-installed system apps that are highly important for your device, so you should not disable these. Usually, there is no “Disable” option for them at all, or there is an Android logo right next to them.

Here is what you need to do in order to disable the app:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Next, tap on Apps (or App Manager, Manage applications, Application Manager, Applications – depending on the Android device you have)
  • Tap on the All tab and you will see all the applications installed on your device
  • Find the app you wish to disable, tap on it, and then tap “Disable”.

The app is now basically frozen, and it won’t run in the background.
